




























The finals of the 5th annual Capital Jazz Challenge were
held on Friday, June 6, 2008 at the Hilton Columbia hotel, where six
finalists competed for a $7,500 grand prize.
Congratulations to B.K. Jackson, winner of the 2008
Capital Jazz Challenge! The 16 year-old saxophonist from Tampa,
Fla. is the youngest ever to participate in the competition. For
winning the competition, he received the $7,500 prize and got to
perform as the opening act on the Pavilion Stage at the Capital Jazz
Fest on Saturday, June 7.
